What is an High Density Windshifter ?
FXG Series High Density Windshifter, also known as a density air separator or high-density air classifier, separates materials based on density differences through adjustable airflow. Compared with standard wind sifters, it is designed for more accurate separation of heavy and light fractions in C&D waste, MSW, industrial waste, and RDF production lines. It is commonly installed after shredders and screening equipment for further material classification.
The High Density Air Separator is available in four models to meet different processing requirements. Depending on the model, it operates with an air volume of 20,000–40,000 m³/h, air pressure of 2,000–3,500 Pa, a maximum feed size of up to 300–400 mm, and power ratings from 22–45 kW.

Working Principle
A High Density Air Separator separates mixed materials by combining controlled airflow with differences in material density. Mixed waste is fed into the machine, evenly dispersed, and passes through an adjustable airflow zone. Light and heavy materials follow different paths according to their density, enabling continuous air separation without water or manual sorting.
Heavy materials such as stones, glass, and metals are discharged from the heavy fraction outlet, while paper, plastic film, wood, and textiles are carried into the settling chamber for collection.
