The customer needed a continuous processing solution for mixed construction and renovation waste, where large and irregular materials, lightweight fractions, and metal contaminants made conventional sorting difficult. Zhongyi Construction & Renovation Waste Recycling Solution
Zhongyi Machinery developed a complete recycling line tailored to the characteristics of mixed construction and renovation waste. The process combines heavy-duty feeding, crushing, screening, air separation, magnetic separation, and conveying to handle different material sizes and densities while separating reusable fractions from lightweight and unwanted materials.
The system uses flip-flop screening technology to improve screening performance for mixed and difficult materials. Negative-pressure and hanging air separators remove lightweight materials such as plastic film, foam, and wood, while magnetic separation recovers ferrous metals. The conveying and feeding equipment are designed to maintain stable material flow throughout the process.
The final solution enables the customer to recover recycled aggregates, fine materials, ferrous metals, wood, and lightweight fractions from renovation waste. Main Equipment Configuration
Zhongyi Machinery configured the recycling line around the characteristics of mixed construction and renovation waste, combining crushing, screening, air separation, and conveying to achieve effective separation of heavy, fine, and lightweight fractions. - Double-Deck Flip-Flop Screen: Performs multi-stage screening of mixed waste and separates fine materials from larger fractions while reducing the risk of screen blockage.

- Crusher: Reduces oversized concrete, bricks, and other hard materials to a suitable size for downstream screening and separation.
Construction and Renovation Waste Recycling Process
The renovation waste is first fed into the system through the apron conveyor, where a crusher reduces oversized concrete, bricks, and other hard materials to a suitable size. The processed material then enters the double-deck flip-flop screen and flip-flop screen for size separation. The classified material passes through the negative-pressure air separator and hanging air separator, which remove lightweight materials such as foam, plastic film, and wood, while heavier materials continue through the recycling process.
The separated materials are then conveyed to their respective discharge points for collection and further processing. Through this combination of crushing, screening, air separation, and conveying, the system effectively separates mixed renovation waste into different material fractions while maintaining a continuous and stable recycling process.
