Tổng quan dự án

The project focuses on processing excavated waste from an old landfill in Guangxi, China. The incoming material contains weathered soil, tangled plastic film and textiles, brick-concrete fragments, wood, ferrous metal, and other lightweight waste. High moisture content, agglomerated soil, and flexible materials that can wrap around rotating components make the material difficult to screen and separate using conventional equipment.

Based on the characteristics of the excavated waste and a design processing capacity of 150–200 TPH, Xinzhongyi ECO supplied an integrated aged landfill waste processing line. The system combines heavy-duty spiral screening, flip-flow screening, ballistic separation, magnetic separation, and air separation. The intended output streams include soil-rich material, inorganic aggregate, ferrous metal, and combustible lightweight fractions for separate handling and downstream recovery.

Yêu cầu của khách hàng & Thách thức dự án

Yêu cầu của khách hàng

The customer required a mechanized system to process excavated waste from a historic landfill and separate the mixed material into distinct fractions. The main requirements were to:

  • Handle soil-rich material, tangled plastic and textiles, brick-concrete fragments, wood, and ferrous metal.
  • Separate soil-rich fines, inorganic aggregate, ferrous metal, and lightweight combustible waste.
  • Reduce manual sorting and accommodate moist, agglomerated material containing flexible contaminants.
  • Provide dust suppression and odor-control measures suited to the semi-open processing area.
  • Obtain equipment supply, installation supervision, pre-commissioning inspection, and operator training.

Thách thức dự án

  • Moisture and Soil Agglomeration: Soil-rich material can form sticky clumps that accumulate on screening surfaces and reduce screening performance.
  • Tangled Flexible Waste: Woven bags, plastic film, and textile fragments can wrap around shafts, rollers, and other moving components, requiring attention to equipment design and routine cleaning.
  • Wide Particle-Size Range: Excavated landfill material contains both oversized debris and fine soil, making multi-stage screening necessary to separate the main fractions.
  • Semi-Open Working Environment: Dust and odor need to be managed at the main processing and transfer points without relying entirely on a fully enclosed workshop.
  • Installation on Uneven Ground: Heavy screening equipment must be lifted, aligned, and connected on a landfill remediation site where foundation and access conditions can vary.

For the Guangxi project, Xinzhongyi ECO configured a multi-stage sorting process consisting of feeding, heavy-duty spiral screening, double-deck flip-flow screening, ballistic separation, magnetic separation, and air separation.

Excavated landfill waste is fed into the heavy-duty spiral screen for preliminary classification. The spiral screening stage helps disperse agglomerated soil and separate long or tangled flexible materials from the main material stream. The remaining material then enters the double-deck flip-flow screen, where flexible screen panels are used to separate fine soil-rich material from coarser fractions.

The screened material proceeds to ballistic separation for further separation of heavy mineral material and lighter fractions. An over-band magnetic separator removes ferrous metal, while a horizontal negative-pressure air sifter separates remaining lightweight combustible materials. Conveyors connect the processing stages, and dust-suppression and deodorizing equipment are provided for the semi-open working environment.

Xinzhongyi ECO engineers also provided on-site guidance for equipment lifting, alignment, and installation checks, followed by preparation for commissioning and operator training.

Aged Landfill Waste Recycling Process

Excavated mixed landfill waste is fed by the apron pan feeder into the heavy-duty spiral screen. This stage disperses soil clumps and separates some long, tangled plastic and textile material before the waste enters the finer screening stages.

The remaining material passes through the double-deck flip-flow screen, which separates fine soil-rich material from coarser fractions. The screened waste then enters the ballistic separator for heavy-light separation. Ferrous metal is removed by the magnetic separator, and the horizontal negative-pressure air sifter separates residual lightweight combustible materials.

The line is configured to discharge separate streams of soil-rich material, inorganic aggregate, ferrous metal, and lightweight combustible waste. Their subsequent uses depend on material quality and applicable acceptance requirements: soil-rich material may be considered for ecological backfilling, inorganic aggregate for site paving, ferrous metal for recycling, and combustible lightweight fractions for waste-to-energy treatment.

Ưu điểm

  • Heavy-Duty Spiral Pre-Screening: Addresses soil agglomeration and tangled flexible waste at the initial screening stage.
  • Flip-Flow Screening for Sticky Material: Uses flexible screen panels to separate fine soil-rich material from moist, mixed landfill waste.
  • Nhiều giai đoạn phân tách: Combines screening, ballistic separation, magnetic separation, and air separation to produce distinct material fractions.
  • Dust and Odor Control for Semi-Open Sites: Localized spray systems address dust and odor around selected processing points.
  • Reduced Risk of Material Wrapping: Conveyor arrangements are configured with the presence of plastic and textile waste in mind.
  • On-Site Engineering Support: Includes equipment lifting guidance, alignment checks, pre-commissioning inspection, and operator training.

The Guangxi aged landfill waste recycling line has completed on-site equipment installation and is ready for commissioning. Its design processing capacity is 150–200 TPH; actual throughput and separation performance will need to be verified during trial operation under the site’s feed conditions.

The configured process is intended to separate excavated landfill waste into soil-rich material, inorganic aggregate, ferrous metal, and lightweight combustible fractions. The planned downstream routes include ecological backfilling or site use for suitable mineral fractions, metal recycling, and waste-to-energy treatment for combustible residues where accepted. The dust-suppression and deodorizing equipment forms part of the site’s environmental management arrangements.
